u were on at orchard road, outside a 7-11 near paragon. It was freezing cold and everyone was in winter wear. u were wearing a white coat with pink fur on the collar which resembles candy floss. U had on ur head a white beanie that is as thick as the keyboard u have in front of you now.

u were eating a donut with chocolate filling. It was hot and crispy on the outside. Hmm..~ smells so good!
U took a bite.
Just then, chocolate ooze out of the donut. U extended ur arms so that they won't get on ur coat, but too bad, its already on ur candy floss collar. u waited but the chocolate just wun stop flowing. ur boots are now surrounded by the molten chocolate. u came to a conclusion - the chocolate will not stop and u need to get help. u looked around with helpless eyes waiting for someone to help you. just then, a mother holding her child's hand came over. The mother is in red winter coat that you recognize is uniqlo. u vaguely remember shopping there when a lady was trying on this coat. when asked why she needs that coat, she answered "Aiyah, one day Singapore sure will snow one mah. Better to be prepared. 50% off leh!"

she is now in front of u. she spoke, and u were distracted by her voice. it sounds like the lady u met in uniqlo 3 weeks ago when singapore was still 33 degree Celsius. U analyse her face. she has a pair of distinctly arced tattooed eyebrow. u think that she must be that lady u met 3 weeks ago in uniqlo, when u entered the shop just to get a bit of aircon. U snap back from ur thoughts and see her waiting for a reply. u ask her to kindly repeat. u notice that the chocolate has spread to her red heels that resembles that in DEVIL WEARS PRADA poster. U rem that u din like that movie. She asked again, this time slightly impatient. The harshness in her tone caught ur attention.

"Would you sell me your coat? I forgot to bring my child's coat out. My child's freezing."

U look at her child for a long minute and still cannot decide if its a girl or a boy. U look back at the mother, who is now getting dangerously frustrated. It is like her arced eyebrows arced to a larger degree, reminding u of the antagonist from 101 DALMATION. U are so paiseh that u hurrily took off ur coat and scuffed it to the lady. She passes u 100 SGD and demands for a 17.10SGD change. U digged for it with one hand and couldn't find ur wallet.

then u woke up.

It's an Alumni Affair~

Was checking out the workstudy jobs available. It's spammed by a job from Alumni Affairs department.

Clicked to see what it's about and saw this.

Then I rem the phonathon job that I was working on. 9SGD an hour to sit in the room devoted to phonathon. Phonathon is this activity under Alumni Affairs, everyone just call the alumni to "update details" and then ask them to pledge, that is to donate money.

If you are a NTU student, you will notice by final year, you will start receiving TONNES of good quality prints asking you to pledge.

Then I recall a very very recent event whereby the NTU's president came to adm and everyone was to ganchiong because apparently, he's kinda like the 2nd richest guy in SG. Of course, through hearsay (means can only believe 20%), and of course, they shd had discluded the gov ppl, the whites of sg.

Well, it almost gives me a hint of the big capitalist world out there. How the income gap can grow into a monster and some ppl can get so freaking rich. Very interesting huh. Like how the world is truly like the Russian doll.

Open open open, same same pattern.

SINGAPORE (Reuters Life!) – McDonald's apologized to Singapore Friday and brought a pig back to its toy menu, after a decision to leave the animal out of its Chinese zodiac collection upset many in the predominantly ethnic Chinese nation.

McDonald's this month started selling cartoon character miniatures depicting the 12 animals of the Chinese zodiac calendar, but the pig was replaced by love god Cupid as McDonald's said it did not want to offend Muslims.

But the move, just ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday and Valentine's Day in February, backfired as many Chinese customers complained in chatrooms and blogs that they would not have a chance to buy the animal sign of their birth year.

"We're sorry, and we're grateful," the fast food chain said in a half-page advertisement in the Straits Times newspaper, saying it never intended to offend anyone.

Multi-racial Singapore has successfully avoided racial tension since deadly riots in the 1960s, though the government sees race as the biggest potential fault line in society.

"I understand that we need to respect our Muslim citizens as Singapore is a multiracial and multicultural society," Pauline Koh, whose daughter was born in the Year of Pig, wrote to the Straits Times.

"However, in this case, the Pig is one of the Chinese zodiac signs -- part of Chinese culture and customs -- and it is just a soft toy, not food," she wrote. Around 75 percent of the nearly 5 million population in Singaporeis ethnically Chinese and 15 percent is Malay or Indian Muslim. McDonald's and many other fastfood chains sell food that is halal, or acceptable to Muslims.

Pork and other pig products are not halal food.

After near 3 months backpacking in China, he was commanded back. Look how sad the boy looks. I can see it was an amazing trip with lots of near-death experiences. But always conclude these experiences with one thing.

"As I stand in front of the huge snow mountains, desserts or whatever, which can swallow me and take my life away casually, I feel so powerless and humble. I used to think that with mind power, knowledge and will, man can do anything. "

OK. here's what happened to him once he gets back to civilisation.

He is mentally paralysed by civilisation and urbANISATION!!!!

有手机就得对人随时做出反应与回答，迟到的回应还得交待，

这样的责任对我而言不是理所当然的。

我不喜欢。

回复简讯对我来说不是立刻的。

我需要时间用心地想，思考，决定。

我不能边做一件事，边思考。因为对我这种脑来说，什么事都得思考。
Can't Multitask at all. PLUS 我一分神就会把思绪忘得一干二净。

或许这表示我这种人需要很多时间来做很少事。但是我保证，每件事我都用心地做。

我不喜欢科技这样催着我走。很烦。很他妈的烦。

我就是喜欢看东西看很久。有时候看很久还是看得不如别人清楚，细腻。我一点都不介意，这不是智障。我有很好的眼睛，世界有很漂亮的东西和事情。
我享受看东西看很久。
这是我生活的方式。

我有时候会有很不方便的想法。

像是想让所有有知觉，会痛会难受，会高兴会满足，会这样的动物，我都想让它吃得饱，睡在温暖的地方，在安全的地方度过短短的人生。

当然，这些动物也包括我的家人和朋友。我不是只关心猫狗。只是猫狗都会满足，而很多人都不会。所以我只有信心帮它们得到快乐。

如果你吃得饱，谁在温暖的地方，在安全的环境过着日子，请你不要觉得我为这些猫猫狗狗做那么多事很无聊。
因为我有信心让它们度过快乐的一生。

我没有任何信心让任何人一辈子快乐。
让人开心大笑的笑话我会说。我真得很会说。人家笑了，我也真得很开心。当然很多时候自己也觉得很好笑，所以是一起笑的。但是为小动物寻找一个安全的家更有意义，因为走向快乐的通道它们已经懂了，就是知足。

我也是人，我知道，人比较难知足。
可能因为比较聪明，可能因为比较emo。
可能因为比较复杂。

没有怪任何觉得我很无聊的人，包括我的家人，和我的朋友。
可是很多时候很无奈，很烦。

Ah sor, Mao porpor's sidekick caregiver found these two kittens abandoned at same place the brothers were abandoned. There's a skatepark nearby. They ran there and hid on the tree, refused to come down. Seeing a thunderstorm approaching and the frightened kittens sticking their butts on the tree, Ah sor climbed a bit (I looked at the tree, I dunno how she did it!!) and got them. They keep screaming until she put them in a box. Upon knowing that they're safe, they stopped the noise-making and slept. Lan is supposed to adopt the brothers, but due to white face's surgery, I din't know how long the adoption will be postponed and hence recommended Lan to adopt Cas and Bran instead, cause they need home more urgently. That park is home to many huge adult cats and they are not friendly to these little ones. Lan was nice, upon seeing the photos that i mms him, he agreed to adopt them. It was a big thing cause he's been interested in adopting specifically the brothers since the post went up.

Looking at the shaky video Lan posted on his blog with cassie eating, switch over to drink, and back to eat and back to drink...aww..

ADOPTION POST FOR A GANG OF CATS
[ They all stay in a rented one-room flat in Toa Payoh with an old lady. She brought these cats home, picking them up with a number of places. Lots of them were abandoned. She did not spay them, and they hence reproduced. She did not bring them to the vets either, leading to many of them falling sick.

Volunteers went in some time ago and brought all the sick cats and kittens to the vet, cleaned up the place which was full of faece, and also taught the old lady how to keep the cats safe and healthy. Now that lots of them have been nursed back to health, they would need a home-sweet-home to belong to.

The 6 kittens needs home urgently. A place for them to wrestle and grow healthily into fine cats. Adult cats are also looking for home!

Kittens include: Black ninjia and sibling, Challenger(white) and siblings, Mixed Ranger.

Names inspired by the way they speed around the apartment and wrestle.

Ok, and so, I went to the apartment to take videos of the cats and volunteers at work. And I have to say, this gang of cats are SOOOOOOOOOO soulful and interesting! My fave couple has got to be this pair of adult black and white who chill out together on dining table all the time.

Black is always giving gazy eyes, and can get paranoid at times. White looks TOTALLY LIKE BRAIN in Pinky and the Brain!!! lol. in cat form though. looks fierce but when you sayang it, it purrsssss like a baby.

White nice tail walked over and carefully detoured to go to the side of his partner, machiam dun wanna wake her up. She woke up and looked up at white. White gently lick her nose and neck. Not those agressive cleaning style, but seriously gentling and slowly, which I have never seen.
In a corner of the one room apartment they layed, grooming each other and napping together. Simply sweet. Sweetly simple.

Challanger and the other kittens were sent to the vet some time ago to be treated for various sickness, eye infection etc, and are now healthily(tribute to jasmine er) ninjia-ing around.
However, Sick grey was too ill and has yet to recover. Today when the volunteers come in, Sick grey is looking sicker than alive.

Volunteers immediately phoned Super Mario the taxi driver to come over to pick up the kitten and send it to the vet. Although everyone knows that it's not going to make it, we're justa group of humans who believe in hope (I mean look at what we're doing, trying to rescue animals and rehouse them. there's so many of them out there.) So the volunteer funding this rescue decided to send it to the vet. I went along to jaga Grey and interviewed Mario while waiting for our turn.

Mario is a 64 years old taxi driver who has been volunteering to shuttle sick strays to vets. He started keeping his first cat 10 years ago. Since then, he understood how these animals do have a soul and mind just like ours. He then started picking up unsterialized strays while he drives around the island and send them to the vet. He is also a caregiver of his region. He feeds the strays there and currently has a few cats and 2 dogs in his family. He shared with me so much tips, how to get SPCA vouchers for spaying strays, free diagnose every saturday at SPCA etc.

Soon, it was Grey's turn and we went in. Head shakes after head shakes. Body temp too low, too skinny for drip, way too weak to survive. Grey was hospitalised with the team promising to "do their best". And we did what we were suggested to do, "expect the worst".

Hence, I wasn't totally shock when a call came the next day to tell me that Grey is not going to make it, but it still hurts.
Cause where you placed hope, you cared and prayed. And it sux when after all that you've put in, no magic was granted.

Grey has left us but remembering it's painful meows in the vet's while looking into my eyes, I'm glad that it's off pain now.

He lives at my void deck.
The most adorable cat ever. Good natured, never fights, hence the name. On some creepy nights, he'll accompany me up to 11th floor and walk down the stairs back to ground floor. Smart.

Went to Mrs Wong's place to shoot video for 9 abandoned kittens.
She's a retired doctor.She's taking care of a total of 200 plus cats in three places, her place, another apartment and a farm in Johor. Her place was filled with cats.

This was only part of the floor that you're looking at.
The tables, cabinets, basins etc are also occupied by cats. So are the three rooms.
Many are handicapped and unfit for life of stray. Pawless, three legged, blinds.
It was my first encounter with such handicapped cats and I must admit that it was an eye opening experience. Handicapped cats are very protective and fierce because of their disadvantage. It took humane trap, and a lot of effort for her to capture these cats and bring them home to nurse. Slowly, she earns their trust and this kitties learn to be sayang, and to accept human love. Right now, the handicapps in her place are all friendly and active like the abled ones.

Here's one of my fave cat.

Climbed up my lap and laid down machiam is her bed.

I'm making a short documentary about Mrs Wong's apartment.
Main aim is to let people know more about handicap cats and encourage people to rescue them when they come across this poor cats.

Also, all the cats are up for adoption. It's seriously crowded in there.

I'd love to help lives with the skill I have. Why cats? Because I ike their candidness. They don't speak, but I find them somehow much easier to trust and understand. And much easier to help. Food, water, sayang and toys, and they will be perfectly happy. Isn't this a very achievable happiness that we can bring?
With my current 22 years on earth, I am still not up to it to handle humans. I'll start here, with these little ones, and hope they bring me to the bigger world of my human race. I hope by then, I will come to understand more, love more, and feel a better world.

After Mrs Wong's place, I rushed back to bedok to jaga the adoption of 2 newly abandoned kittens, quite old le, like 2 months perhaps. One pure white one grey. Only took pic of the white one.

Kitties go new homes after the dramatic day of hokkien mee aunty climbing tree to catch it before the thunderstorm hits and bring them home in the box. lol. poor aunty, got scratched big time. haha.

Was rejoicing and SUDDENLY...

A loud bang was heard coming from the kitchen....

I bravely moved over to the kitchen....

Then i realised this....

Salon's new toy whereby I can fling the ball, which is attached to end of string, while salon dashs madly to grab the ball ball with bell bell and feathers. Due to the elastic nature of the white string, the ball shoots fast and furious when the cat releases it. Which then, will set off another round of tokyo drift. This visious cycle keeps my cat very occupied and excited and happy. She can get quite bored when I'm not around since she's my only child. Apparently, I was very lazy flinging the toy here to there and here to there and decided to cleverly stuff the stick into the hole, letting out the ballball so that salon can play with herself. Must have forgotten to take it out. SO this silly but gorgeous cimbo pulled the ball and dashed, dragging the chair along. Resulting in the long sound previously heard by me. Here's a pic of the culprit on scene of crime.

Phew. Ok, since I'm here might as well share some gd and bad experience of the day.

Basically I had a extremely long day, waking up at 6am to go swimming, breakfast blablabla. By 11 plus, I was at FU LU SHOU and my great ex roomie/ fren-4eva came to hang out. We had lunch at V8 Cafe at parco bugic junction and little did I know that I was about to experience a life changing moment.

CHAPTER ONE - Chicken Baked Rice of My Life

I tasted the most delicious Chicken Baked Rice in my world.

Very very well done. Cheese was gd, chicken was well marinated and pre cooked. Included crispy chicken skin, which is the part that i admire the most, because it really made such a huge different both in the texture and layering of the cuisine and it provided a very good contrast from the thick layer of cheese. If there is one thing that I have to demerit from the dish, it will be that it is overall a little too salty. I have a low threshold for salt though, so it may actually be just nice kind for you. It was so nice that I din't wanna waste any bit of it. I asked for a container to pack the remainder, about 1/4 ba, and the sweet waitress helpfully helped me pack it into a nice container with spoon and fork and all put into a plastic bag. When you go during lunch, order any main course and you will get complimentary soup and drink. I spent about like 11 bucks for this meal. Very good service, ambience is casual and just nice for a chatty bunch of friends. I will definately return. =)

CHAPTER TWO - THE DRINK COUPONS THAT ALMOST WRECKED MY NIGHT

It was no joke waiting to enter ZIRCA for musical tribute for Michael Jackson. The queue was longggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg....

This is like, half cleared, still so longggggggggggggggggggg.
Ok, what kept us going was 2 free drinks and MJ's songs. But guess what?? When we finally got in, I hit the bar to grab some drinks and was told that the drinks coupons only covers coke, sprite, cranberry juice, orange juice. WHAT?! Like that 好意思call drink coupon ah? Pissed and deprieved, the alcoholic cat and friends left for ladies night's promotions to alcoholise ourselves. Gave fashion bar a second chance. Still sux. No menu, no ladies night specials. So we left again, and decided to hit one of SG's most lovely place Azzucar! Latin Soul Party. We got so much more than we asked for. Ladies night here was free flow champange for all ladies throughout the night! And mind you we're talking abotu tasty champange here! And the band is sooooooooooooo goooooooooddddddddddddddd....=)

3/5 of us hit the dancefloor and I was like, sweating big time after the workout. Glad to see Zhip's relief from stress from work and Chup drunk. Photos taken at the toilet door, which is a full mirrorrrr.

2 KITTIES UP FOR ADOPTION

Is there any plastic surgery that can change me into something this cute and gorgeous? That'll probably take some serious shrinking, filing of bones and fur transplant man..

These kitties have been abandoned this morning at Bedok hawker/market Blk 216. They are tiny. about 2 weeks old. By my estimation.

So tiny that they can easily be stepped over by the I-want-my-breakfast-now-hurry-wait-no-seat-then-you-know-ah passerbys. So tiny that they can easily be not noticed by the cars on the road nearby. So tiny that they can easily fall into some holes and be not noticed because the market is way too noisy to hear their meows.

So cute that ppl are taking photos of them and with them.

The granny taking care of them currently was informed about this case and found them in the little space behind, hiding. Now, they run into their new "nest" whenever they hear loud sound.

Oblivious little ones scratching and playing there. tsktsktsk..

But this little nest is in fact safer than the space beyond it. They are rather safe if they hide inside. However, being playful kittens, the brothers wrestle outside, run around and explore. Aunty tried to scare them in by slapping her flipflops on the floor but whenever ppl catch sight of those cute little brothers, they will lure them out to play with them, take photos of them. There's a road 10m near their nest. The market has trolleys rolling all over in the busy morning and people keep their eyes on their buys, not on the floor.

They need a home. A place safe to stay in.

A place to wrestle and grow up into fine gorgeous cats who will be your companion for a good 16-20plus years.

Cats are clean and independant. They pee and shit in the toilet or in their litter pan. They groom themselves. They are loyal but not in a dog way. They don't follow you all around attentively wagging their tails but I will always see my cat waiting outside the bathroom for me to finish my shower and lazing beside me while i surf the net. We play catching and hide and seek. This greedy little one stands up on her feet to beg for food everytime we have our meals. When I scold her, she will bend her head and not dare to look me in the eyes. They are naughty like a kid and independant like an adult. Don't be suprise if you wake up and find your cat cuddling beside you, sleeping like a baby.

If you are keen to adopt them into your family, please contact me. They can feed on solid food and are running around healthily. To be adopted together. Kitties which grow up alone don't have a peer to learn from and learn with and hence will become a bit weird, hmm, like salon my cat, a bit siao siao. On this fine friday, mom decided to take maria out to orchard because maria won a first time free trial treatment in New York Skin Solutions and can bring 2 friends along for the session. They were so excited and delighted to be in Taka, a paradise of good food.

Mom was so sweet to help Maria search for the right size leopard boxers.
( I think it was a XS she was looking for, can't quite remember la. muahahahha...)

They found awesome CUTE CUPCAKES! Which taste good too.

Both mom and maria were happy.

My fave invention of xiao ding dang aka Doraemon is 马上行动枪.
It makes you do whatever needs to be done right away instead of procastinating and doing it at last minute.
I just had the 马上行动枪 moment. Was in bed an hour ago, at 11 plus, trying to get enuff sleep to wake up at 6am tml so that i can get to NTU at 8.40am. A 3 day job to give out grad gowns etc.
I felt the urge to prepare myself for a better tomorrow and there, I got up and started to pack up my messy study table, sort out stuffs in files , throw away outdated articles etc. Charge my ipod which has been dead for almost a week. Listen to the cd annette gave to me because she wanna get rid of unwanted memories. It's Jacky Cheung's Black and White album. Disc two has one of my fave song from him but I decided to kick start this more disciplined life in a disciplined manner and started with disc one. Upon opening the case, I realise that disc one is missing. haha. May be laying on a dusty shelf in ann's home. haha. Guess some memories will just stick to you like this dusty Disc One. And the undisciplined major piece of me got the way. ok i dunno how i digressed so far but here! to the pt! I was clearing my ipod harddisk and found something i was supposed to print in August 2008 but slipped my mind till now. TO my dearest tonglei, happy belated 21st! haha. doesn't this make you feel young again? like time has rewinded. It's August 2008 again. =)

Argentine dog saves abandoned baby

An eight-year-old dog has touched the hearts of Argentines by saving the life of an abandoned baby, placing him safely alongside her own new puppies.

The country's media are calling him "the miracle baby".

He was born prematurely to a 14-year-old girl in a shanty town outside the capital, Buenos Aires.

She is said to have panicked and abandoned the boy in a field, surrounded by wooden boxes and rubbish.

Then along came La China, reports say, the dog which somehow picked up the baby and carried him 50m to place him alongside her own puppies.

The dog's owner reported hearing the child crying and finding him covered with a rag.

The baby, weighing 4kg (8lb 13oz), had some slight injuries, but no bite marks.

The owner called the police and the child is now being looked after by the authorities, while a decision is taken about his future.

The frightened mother appeared shortly after her baby was found.

The Argentine media has descended on the shanty town, talking of "the Argentine Romulus and Remus", the legendary founders of Rome, abandoned as babies and rescued by a wolf, nearly 3,000 years ago.

La China, worried about her own puppies, is reported to be petrified by her new found fame, and her owner says he is worried that she is not eating.

It took me a lot of courage to confront this desire in me.

I want to be nothing near to the scary huge buildings housing scary huge people.

I want a nice space so close to nature that my floor probably cannot escape from nature's dust, sea salt, leaves and flowers of wild plants on the mountains, sand older than me. I may finally feel in a piece then.

I feel miserable in this apartment which doesn't let enough sunlight in. I love sunlight. Sometimes I lose touch with time.

I'm 22 this year. Probably a time to set my goal in life and go for it. A scary thought, but I believe that it will be so rewarding in time to come.

It's not something major that my dear friend, you should be shocked and anticipate what I'll do. It's just a personal step of coming to my belief that governs my soul, and bring myself closer to what feels right.

Sometimes I wonder where I would be now if sixteen years ago I had not moved to that small wooden apartment in the back alleys of Harajuku. I think about the living himalaya cedar I found there and the fundamentally different turns my life would surely have taken and can't help but feel the presence of some unseen power. Call it fate, call it what you will.

What exactly is it about treehouses that would so captivate a slacker like me, a man who could never devote himself to any one cause or finish anything he started? What is it in treehouses that attracts anyone? I've come to think the answer lies in the vitality of the trees themselves. Everlasting life.

Treehouse building has taken me to forests and woodlands across Japan - across the globe, and everywhere I've been, I've seen reflected in these largest and oldest of living beings the same nameless light that I've struggled to maintain within myself for so many years, the one that noone could tarnish and that never seemed to disappear. That comfort, that sense of calm, is something I'd like to share with as many people as possible. And it is with that in mind that I will continue with the one-of-a-kind rush that is treehouse creation, all the while carrying out my own personal dialogue with their hosts.

Because my companion is life itself. And as long as there are undiscovered trees still waiting...

It starts off trashy and i still don't like the way the way it's overly emotionalized. But there is a good documentary factor behind this short film. And there is something very sweet about how happy these people are even though they are eating from the rubbish bins.

However, there are still pressing issues that needs to be settled globally such as the circulation of medical supplies and clean and safe food and water. There is a part that we all can play, if we just stop getting too comfortable. Especially you and us, who have the power.

If I can build my own world, there will be a lot a lot of Old Shanghai Ladies in tight cheongsum, loitering around. Each of them rear a black cat with red collar.
The dominating type of stall will not be fashion shops, it's be FOOD stores.
As the Queen, every year, there will come a month whereby I travel the streets with salon and taste every store's best food. If it fail to please my taste buds, I'll shut it down. So my people will not have to worry about having a terrible dining exprience.

I used to go home and cry in toilet and I hardly have friends back then, till i met some wonderful people through art project. Then, I started to get noisy, uncontrollably. It's heavenly to feel loved and appreciated.

10. Sometimes I will fall into ultimate fear at night, with the sudden realisation that time speeds and death feels like the very next second.

11. I don't like to attend events to socialise. I do pretty well when i end up there.

12. I have big feet for girls, which makes it difficult to buy cheap shoes. I used to feel sad and ashamed over having big feet but have came to realise there's no range of size that a foot SHOULD be, there's only size that most ppl have. I've grown very comfortable and attached to them.

13. I cried when I first had to wear spects cause it was so super ugly.

14. I HATE birds. I freak out when i spot them within a 10m radius. The flapping of wings near me makes me break down.

15. I never really miss my grandma whom i really loved. I somehow still believe that she's not dead, just travelling in china with her stylo milo shades. Once I was on bus and passed by the temple which her ash was kept in, it struck me that she is dead and i broke down. But it was just a short moment, after that i can't register her death as usual.

16. I used to spend a lot of time and effort searching for my religion but had failed to believe.

These kiddos are litter trained, they will go to the litter pan to do it's "dirty business" so no worries.

MUNCHING ON: they're eating semi solid food now. You can get the Science Diet formula can food to get them the right gd food. Otherwise, Soak the cat biscuits in hot water with a scoop of milk powder. Soak it till it's soft. Add some can cat food into it and mix. That's a decent meal for the kiddos. of course, leave them a nice bowl of water to slurp.

GROOMING: Weekly, bathe them with cat shampoo and warm water and dry them slightly with towel. Let them bask in the sun and lick themselves dry. They like to do it their own catty way.

ZZZZZZZ: Tuck them into a warm place with a nice towel or cloth to keep them warm, Kittens can catch a cold quite easily. But they may just select their own beds( at times, it can be yours).

3-MONTHS: You can get it sterilized at this time. Better spay them before they go around mating.

OTHER IMPORTANT THING TO TAKE NOTE: Scratching pole! or some other items you can get from the pet shop before it's too late. Toys for them to play with. Play with them! it can be super fun. Love them, stroke them and cuddle them. Discipline them to a tiny extent.

As I was walking home, I heard a meow.
I was walking by the busy road.
I walked on.

and on...

I heard another meow.

I saw a tiny black think covered with mud and grass, crawling.

The cord is still there, meaning a just-born.

It was freaking cold.

Backtracked and there I found the first meow.

ice cold like the 2nd meow.

I placed them in a plastic bag and roamed around for sign of any mother cats.

Placed them at somewhere nearby but safer, further from the road.

I hope the mother will find them soon.

I hope they are not abandoned.

And if they are, I don't know how my mum is going to cope with me mothering another 2 kittens.

I'll head there tml morning and if they are still there, I'll smuggle them home to bath them and feed them milk. keep them in a cardboard box and wrap them with my class tees and house tees. Keep them warm and full for the moment and hide them at the void deck.
Every life, no matter how tiny, needs to be treated with care and regconised as a deserving life.
It starts from here.
to the innocent victims in wars.
to the cambodian kids and farmers stepping on mines.
to your crying neighbourkid whom parents are still figuring out what they want in life in a violent manner.
I always here this kid from opposite block crying and shouting for his parents to stop fighting.
I have this nephew whom mother have totally no interest in bringing him up or caring for him at all.

Everyone of the owner of these lives, I want to hug them, stroke them, bring them food, bring them blanket, candies, jokes, bedtime stories. I want to make them feel better. And I want it so badly. Every moment I spend in physical and mental comfort, I want to do something for these people cause they are hurting when I am not.

Everyone needs to be loved. Cause from there, we feel our value.
And from our value, we get the strenght to love the other.
And it is through this cycle that suddenly, life makes sense.

It frustrates me to see so many people protecting their comfort by blinding themselves from others' sufferings, which they may so easily eliminate.

Kimchi Jigae (Cabbage Kimchi Soup)

`INGREDIENTS:`
1/2 teaspoon Korean sesame oil	1 cup cabbage pickle (Kimchi)	1 garlic clove, crushed
1/4 pound boneless pork, sliced thin	3 cups water	1 scallion, cut into 3-inch pieces
1 firm chinese soybean curd, cut into 9 cubes	6-8 small clams, optional but recommended

`1`	Put the sesame oil in a saucepan and stir-fry the kimchi over moderate heat for 1/2 minute. Add the garlic and pork and continue to fry as the meat changes color.
`2`	Now add the water, bring to a boil, and cook for 10 minutes. Add the scallion, bean curd, and clams if used, and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes more.
`3`	Serve warm with rice.

Fed salon a serving of nutri gel for her preg.

Cleaned her ass and gave her a wipe, preg cats have difficulty cleaning themselves.

She looks tired, exhausted and at times in pain.

i saw her baby kicking her tummy and it totally freaked me out!!!

I thought only human babies kicks..

How ignorant and oblivious a human I am.

'Angel' killed in Mumbai was Singapore's first terror victim

SINGAPORE, Dec 4, 2008 (AFP) - A vicious tropical rainstorm beat down from darkened skies Thursday as mourners held a funeral for Singapore's "angel" murdered by militants in India -- the city-state's first-ever terrorist victim.

The rain continued throughout the 45-minute service, even as Lo Hwei Yen's white coffin left the church.

Lo, 28, was one of at least 188 people, including 22 foreigners, killed in a shooting and grenade rampage by 10 militants who terrorised Mumbai for 60 hours last week.

The Church of Saint Teresa was packed for the private ceremony, and family friends said hundreds of mourners were expected.

Some, like Pearlyn Koh, did not even know the young lawyer.

"I am here to send my prayers and well-wishes to her, her family," said Koh, who attended the funeral on her lunch break.

"I think she was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Why her?"

Hundreds more mourners, including cabinet ministers, turned out during the week for her wake.

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said in a letter of condolence that Lo was his country's first victim of terrorism.

Her death has jolted the nation, which prides itself on rigorous security measures, and politicians said Lo's death reinforces the need for vigilance.

"She was there at the wrong time," Devendran Puhaindran, the uncle of Lo's husband, Michael Puhaindran, said before the funeral.

"I remember her as a very bubbly girl, always with a smile."

Funeral mourners were urged to wear "fabulous black", a reflection of Lo's stylishness.

Even the skies obliged, making the early afternoon resemble the dim light of dusk.

Lo's smiling face has been regularly featured in newspaper photographs since the foreign ministry announced her death late last week.

"You look at her smile, you can see that radiance of her soul," her husband said in a 15-minute eulogy.

"She knows how to enjoy life," he said, adding that friends described her as caring and selfless.

They were married just last year on the Indonesian resort island of Bali, local newspapers have reported.

Reports said Lo had gone to Mumbai for only one night to deliver a talk about the global credit crunch.

She was taken hostage, along with others, by the militants who stormed the Oberoi/Trident hotel where she was staying.

Jai Sohan, an official from Singapore's foreign ministry, told reporters earlier that before she died Lo had conveyed a message from the attackers.

"The terrorists demanded that the Indian authorities refrain from storming the Oberoi hotel or else they would harm her," Sohan said.

In interviews with local newspapers published Thursday, Michael Puhaindran, 37, said that his wife calmly told him in a telephone call from the Oberoi that men with machine guns and grenades had taken her hostage.

"She was extremely brave. Her voice didn't waver," The New Paper quoted him as saying. "She didn't want to panic me."

It was the last time he spoke with her, but newspapers said Lo also managed to send emails to three friends using her BlackBerry.

"If I don't make it out of here, I love you all," her message said, according to Puhaindran.

Lo's body was found on the 19th floor of the hotel.

"Yen, my angel, my princess, words cannot express how much I miss you," her husband said, choking on his words during the eulogy.

This whole month had been a reminder, not a gentle one, of a violent truth of how fragile life is.

life is very fragile.

it sat there, stinking of urine, shit and garbage.
it sat there in that stinky cardboard box, gazing at the sky, observing the clouds.
it gazes dreamily, as if looking at a breathtaking scenery.

Meow~ i approached, and it turned it's head towards me.
Eow~ it meowed incompletely.
2 weeks, my guess is its 2 weeks old.
14days on earth and never full.
it felt unlike a kitten, it's not only scorny, the fur, is hard from rain and all its waste and mud.
it crawled hungrily onto me and gulped down a whole serving of milk.
i tried to clean it up a little but to no avail, its really filthy.
this littlepiece of garbage slept on my palm.
i wrapped it with a clean piece of cloth and left for school.

we returned and brought it up to andy's and gave it 4rounds of good scrub.
the waste water that flowed down from its tiny body is brown.
the little piece of garbage has a lump on its back and a little bald patch on its forehead.
we blew it dry with the hair dryer.
it got too tired for milk.
it slept in the bed i made for it in my shoe.
then it slept in the bed we made it in a new cardboard box.
we woke it up to feed it milk but it was too tired for any.
it slept.

next day morning the boys tried to feed it but to no avail.
it was getting real weak.
i rushed it down to the vet.
contacted and agreed to met its adopting family there at the vet.
it woke up.
growled and looked at me.
hugged my finger to sleep while we were sitting at the bus stop waiting for the vet to opet in 15minutes.
it opened its eyes. and gazed at me. the way it gazed at the sky.
no. not right. paws felt icy cold.
eyes still open.
no.not right. not responding.
carried it up. totally no control of limbs.
no. not right. no more pants.
shook it hard and slapped it hard.
no. not right. no reaction. eyes still open, as if still gazing at me.
no. not right.
dead.

i stroked it on its forehead the way i always do to close the eyes of cats.
the eyes wouldn't close, but a drop of tear flowed out and emptied it's teary eyes.

As we stand by the side and witness how fragile life is, we tell ourselves that we gotta be strong.
This is so ironic as we ourselves, are feeding on this fragile piece of life given to us as well.
I guess we just have to shake off the mindset that we are destined to be the luckier ones blessed with food, shelter and warmth and humbly bow to the fragility of life. I guess only the real sense of probability of death and sufferings can lead a man to reckon that all power beseeched upon mankind exists momentarily and the real joy of life come from cherishing.

This little piece of garbage leeched onto every bit of life beseeched upon it's scorny body and gazed the sky with awe. There is pleasure and magic at every corner of earth and it's up to us to gaze at it with the eyes of little garbage or to mourn over our withering petals.

North Pole ice cap melting faster than ever

WASHINGTON (AFP) - - The Arctic ice cap keeps melting under the effects of global warming and in August saw its second largest summer shrinkage since satellite observations began 30 years ago, US scientists said.

Measurements on August 26 showed an ice cap of 5.26 million square kilometers (2.03 million square miles), just below the 5.32 million square kilometers (2.05 million square miles) observed on 21 September 2005, making it the second biggest summer Arctic ice-cap melt in history, said the National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC).

Since the start of August, the Boulder, Colorado-based center said, the Arctic polar cap shrank by 2.06 million square kilometers (0.8 million square miles).

The melting is so fast and extensive it could shrink the ice cap to below the 4.25 million square kilometers (1.64 million square miles) reached in the summer of 2007, the smallest it has ever been observed by satellites, the center said.

Since the end of the Arctic summer and the start of the freezing autumn is several weeks away, it said, the ice cap could dwindle even more than it did in 2007.

At the end of northern hemisphere summer 2007, the Arctic ice cap was 40 percent smaller than the average 7.23 million square kilometers (2.8 million square miles) observed in 1979-2000, the NSIDC said.

The North Pole melting season begins in mid-June. The ice cap shrinks to its smallest area by mid-September and grows the most in winter by mid-March.

"The bottom line, however, is that the strong negative trend in summertime ice extent characterizing the past decade continues," the Center said in a report.

The North Pole itself could even become free of ice by September for the first time in modern history, setting a new milestone in the effects of global warming on the Arctic ice shelf, NSIDC glaciologist Mark Serreze told AFP in late June.

"We could have no ice at the North Pole at the end of this summer. And the reason here is that the North Pole area right now is covered with very thin ice, and this ice we call 'first-year ice,' the ice that tends to melt out in the summer," he explained.

Serrreze said the possibility the ice cap could vanish stood at 50 percent.

If it does happen in September, he added, "it's possible that ships could sail from Alaska right to the North Pole".

The Arctic has been free of ice in the geologic history of the Earth, but never in modern history, Serreze said.

"Clearly, if you look over what we have seen in the past three years and where we were headed, we are in ... this long-term decline and we may have no ice at all in the Arctic Ocean in summer by 2030 or so," he added.

Not long ago, he said, the summer disappearance of the Arctic ice was predicted to happen between 2050 and 2100.

The NSIDC said the receding North Pole ice sheet was chiefly caused by the melting of ice in the Chukchi Sea, off the Alaskan coast, and the East Siberian Seas, off the coast of eastern Russia.

The Chukchi ice sheet is one of the natural habitats of the polar bear, where it hunts for seals, and its disappearance is a direct threat to the animal's survival.

The vanishing summer polar ice cap, however, also opens up the fabled Northwest Passage that winds through the northern Canadian islands and links the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.

Shipping routes using the Northwest Passage would spare very long detours through the Panama Canal and around South America's Cape Horn.

An ice-free North Pole would also expose untold wealth of natural resources, including oil and natural gas, locked up beneath the Arctic Ocean waters, which Canada and Russia are already eagerly preparing to exploit.

Dark clouds gathered and wind started howling.
The child saw flashes of lightning before she heard thunder roaring like hungry lions.
She grabbed on tightly to her colourful lollipop and bent her head.
The rain splattered into the void deck and slided down her thick black banks.
She frowned and took a step inwards.

Her brother, whom she adored, was a year older than her and standing beside her when the first drop of rain came falling from somewhere far far away in the sky.
Somewhere too far up for the child's tiny eyes to track.
He ran into the rain and opened his mouth wide.

He then ran back to his sister, and he was then drenched from head to toe.

He secretively bent towards her, cupped his mouth by her right ear and whispered,
"I know how the clouds taste like. "
He leaned back and with the help of the lightning, the child managed to make out the satisfied grin on her brother's face.
She lifted her head upright and smiled.

Her brother took her hand and pulled her along into the rain.

Out in the rain,
the children held onto each others' hand tightly.

Opening her little mouth, the child curiously savoured the clouds.

Sitting in Film Editing Lab waiting for the transfer to be done.

I got 6min.

This holiday,

I bought a black ipod.

I made a lot of friends through work.

I got FCP short cuts at my finger tips.

The school became my home.

I got my hair red-ed.

I went drinking a lot, for the merry.

I decided to quit drinking ( caps at 2 shots ).

I adopted Salon.

I strained my relationship with my Family because of Salon.

My family came to accept her and love her and welcome her to our family.

Got to know A Pakistan and a irish man.

Feel that the world is small.

Feel that the death is near.

Feel that the salty breeze is nice.

Feel like I'm dreaming.

Transfer done. back to work.

One fine morning, I was on the school bus on my way to school.
Bored.
Grumpy.

I was resting my head on a hand, leaning by the window and peering out.
Bored.
Grumpy.

I saw a piece of fallen cloud right above the factory Aunty sally works in.
I was excited!
I ran down the bus.
I see that it was injured and could not fly.

That day, I skipped school.
I brought the piece of cloud home and tied it in my toilet using all my shoelaces so that mum and dad won't know about it.
I bathed under it everyday as it rains for me.

I was cautious over family dinner, not to mention anything about the piece of cloud in front of aunty sally, in case she wants it back for the factory. I even refused her when she offered to read me bedtime story. I cried and threw a huge tantrum. Aunty sally was upset and said that I was too bad for a 5 yrs old, but I din't care.

One day in school, we read a story about a trap frog which cries everynight for it misses the pond.
It suddenly strike me that the piece of cloud was not raining. It was crying for it misses the sky.

I cried so hard, teachers and classmates surrounded me and asked me what's the matter.
They all looked worried.
But I just kept crying.
That evening, mum came and drive me home for the teacher had called.
When I reach home, I went straight to my toilet and cut off my shoelaces.
The cloud floated happily out of my window and into the sky.

Every now and then, it returns and rain for me.
That's it's way of saying thank you.
That's why I like rainy days.
